A top prize of a trip to Japan is up for grabs for the winner of Toyota’s Dream Car Contest!
Entry forms are now available to collect at Pinkstones Toyota – so come and collect one quick!
What is the Dream Car Contest?
The Dream Car Contest is an opportunity for young children (ages up to 15 years old) to get creative by drawing/painting on A3 paper their dream car. This is a national competition being held by Toyota GB, with prizes from Toyota GB and local prizes from Pinkstones Toyota.
What are the Prizes?
1) For the Toyota GB national competition, you’ll firstly be entered into the UK contest, with three great prizes up for grabs in each age category and a UK awards ceremony on 19 February 2014. Then, the winners of each category will be entered into the worldwide art contest. If your design makes the final, you could be jetting off to Japan on a trip of a lifetime for the world-final ceremony in late August 2014.
2) At Pinkstones Toyota we’re holding our own local competition with Dream Car Contest entries just before we send the entries to Toyota GB. Out of all the entries we receive for the Dream Car Contest, we’ll pick 3 winners – 1st prize is a Nintendo DSi! For 2nd and 3rd places we’ll give Amazon vouchers.
What are the Categories?
There are three age-grouped categories:
1) Under 8’s
2) 8 – 11 year olds
3) 12 – 15 years olds
How do I Enter?
You can collect an entry form from our Toyota Centre, or download it here and print. This form must accompany each drawing submitted.
The drawings/paintings must be done on A3 sized paper and handed in to our Toyota Centre in Stoke on Trent.
Each child may enter as many times as they like!
When is the Deadline?
The deadline for us to receive your entries at our Toyota Centre is Friday 24th January 2014
What are the Rules?
As with any contest there are some rules, such as the drawings cannot be done by computer and must be hand drawn/painted illustrations with a background and should not include any collages or cut outs. Each child must do their own individually – no collaborations. Each entry must be accompanied by an entry form and handed into our Toyota Centre by 24th January 2013 or it cannot be accepted. For full contest rules, please click here.
I Need Inspiration!
For ideas, check out some concept cars Toyota have done. When beginning your design, think about what it will be made of, how it will move, how many people it could carry, what fuel it will use (petrol, hybrid, solar power, fuel cell or other, will it have a steering wheel or steered another way, etc?). Below is one example of the many concept cars Toyota have designed… as you can see, the car doesn’t need to look like conventional cars. Let your imagination go!
