It’s November and that means it’s time for ‘Movember’!
During November each year, ‘Movember’ is responsible for millions of moustaches being grown around the world. It is all to cause a reaction with others and get people talking, as the “mo’s” are grown during the month in aid of charity. The Movember campaign is all about public awareness of men’s health issues. The three main focus areas are Prostate cancer, Testicular Cancer and Mental health. The message is all about having fun while raising awareness and money.
Pinkstones Toyota is getting involved in ‘mo’ ways than one this year – three service advisers are taking part and so are the cars! Showroom and courtesy Toyota cars are wearing their own sticker version of the moustache with the money used to purchase the stickers going directly to the charity. The stickers, courtesy of momyride, help to build awareness and offer another fun way of getting involved with Movember. If you’d like one for your car too, small stickers are available to collect from our Toyota Centre. Below is what the small sticker looks like once on the car:
The employees taking part are Simon Matthews, David Williams and Jean Claude Satin. They’re raising money individually and as a team so if you’d like to donate you can do so when you visit the Toyota Centre or online by clicking here.
Simon Pinkstone, Managing Director explained, “Health issues aren’t commonly discussed among men and we welcome the Movember campaign. It certainly gets people talking which increases awareness and with that more money is raised for the cause. The service team are busy raising money both on and offline, having lots of support from colleagues and their friends. We’re proud of our staff for taking the initiative to get involved in this year’s campaign and we hope to see a large amount raised at the end of the month.”
Come and get your own sticker for your own car! Over half have been taken already, so be quick!
